International Programming Contest

The 4th Quazi Azher Ali International Programming Contest 2014, organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) of Bangladesh University was held on the campus on Saturday, 27th December 2014. Bangladesh University thinks, the access to modern technology should be available to the future engineer which will help them build their luminous career. By providing 3D printer in the classroom Bangladesh University wants to ensure that the students graduated from here will be ideal to all. They will show higher skill in using modern technology than anyone in the professional career and will promote Bangladesh University.

First 3D printer in Bangladesh

Bangladesh University thinks, the access to modern technology should be available to the future engineer which will help them build their luminous career. By providing 3D printer in the classroom Bangladesh University wants to ensure more advancement of the students graduated from here in comparison with the graduates from other universities. And thus they will be capable to show higher skill in using modern technology than others in the professional career and will promote Bangladesh University.

Free Medical Checkup Campaign

A daylong Free Medical Checkup Campaign organized by Bangladesh University Pharmacy Department was held on October 21, 2015 at Permanent Campus, Adabar, Mohammadpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Blood glucose level measurement, checkup of blood pressure, blood grouping determination, blood glucose level measurement, height & weight as well as BMI measurement were carried out in this campaign. About 1000 people living at Adabar, Dhaka Udyan and adjacent areas were provided with the above mentioned service facilities free of cost. Engineer M A Ghulam Dastagir, Secretary, Board of Trustees, Bangladesh University inaugurated the program. Adviser of Pharmacy Department Prof. Farida Begum, Registrar, Major Niaz Mohammad Khan (Retd.), Heads of different departments, teachers, students, officers & staffs of the university were present on the occasion. Before that, in the morning a rally was brought out by the students, teachers, officers and staffs of Pharmacy department from the Iqbal Road University Campus and ended at the permanent campus located at Adabar, Mohammadpur, Dhaka.

Project Presentation

The presentation of the publication of the project of the 1st thesis batch of Architecture department was held at the Dhaka Art Centre on December 02, 2014. The Honorable state minister of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources Mr. Nasrul Hamid, MP inaugurated the program as chief guest.

Seminar on Gender & Development

The Department of Business Administration of Bangladesh University (BU) organized a discussion seminar on “Gender & Development" at Bangladesh University Auditorium on March 06, 2014. Mr. Navid Chowdhury, Advisor, Poverty and Social Protection, UKAID in Bangladesh presented the key-note paper. Dr Enamul Aziz, Head, Department of Sociology, BU, was the moderator of the seminar. More than 250 students from the department of Business Administration and dept. of Sociology of BU attended the seminar. Ms. Shahnila Azher, Member, Syndicate & BoT and Advisor, dept. of Business Administration was present as chief guest. Late Vice Chancellor in charge Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Ali Fakir presided over the seminar.
