Dr. Asif brings more than two decades of dynamic leadership experience. As Chief Business Officer at Grameenphone, he leads B2B transformation through techno-commercial collaboration. He also serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Sonali Bank PLC. Previously, he was CIO at Robi Axiata Ltd. and founding Managing Director of Red. Digital Ltd. He holds a Doctoral degree in Artificial Intelligence from California Southern University (summa cum laude), an MBA from Royal Roads University (Canada), an M.Eng. in Telecommunications from University of Technology Sydney, and a B.Sc. in Applied Physics & Electronics from Dhaka University. He has attended INSEAD, MIT Sloan, Harvard Executive Education, and NUS on leadership and digital transformation, and regularly speaks on IoT, Cloud, 4IR, and Disruptive Technologies.

Has served at Square Pharmaceuticals, BEXIMCO Pharmaceuticals, and several leading private universities. Author of research papers in Ethnomedicine, Ethnopharmacology, Functional Foods & Nutraceuticals, and Pharmaceutical Market Research published in national and international journals.

A renowned pharmaceutical marketing professional and healthcare strategist with more than 26 years of rich and varied experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry in Bangladesh. At IQVIA Solutions Limited (formerly IMS Health), the global leader in healthcare and life sciences analytics, he has led strategic consultancy and market intelligence projects for top multinationals including Pfizer, MSD, Bayer, AbbVie, Novo Nordisk, and Eli Lilly. He has previously held senior marketing leadership positions at Popular Pharmaceuticals Ltd., BEXIMCO Pharmaceuticals Ltd., and Julphar Bangladesh Ltd. He serves as adjunct faculty at BRAC University and Independent University Bangladesh, and has worked at Stamford University Bangladesh and as a consultant at the Asian Development Bank. He holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka, and M.Pharm. & B.Pharm. from the same university.
