Bangladesh University (BU) debate team won the UCB Public Parliamentary TV debate competition against Ahsanullah University & Science and Technology, Dhaka. The debate competition was held at ATN Bangla on May 13, 2017. The topic of debate was ‘Mass Media is speaking out the Story of Mass People.’ BU team was against this motion. Mr. Mustafa Kamal, Executive Editor of the KalerKantha was the Chief Guest while Mr. Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiron nicely moderated the completion. Five members BU team was lead by Abir Kalam Azad. Other team members were Tahsin Riaz, Md. Sayem, Md. Azizul Hoque Romel and Iftekhar Ahmed.  At the end of the program, the chief guest gave away the crest to the winning team. The Debate Coordinator Sheikh Alauddin, Assistant Professor and Moderator Subarna Selim, Lecturer, Department of English were presented there.
