Department of CSE

A Computer Lab is used to provide students with the access to many services. It gives our students the access of software library and scope to acquire practical experiences. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department has 3 (three) computer labs.

One computer lab has a total of 50 computers. The laboratory is fully equipped because it has all the equipment required for students for the best practical experiences. Three 3d printers are also available here to enable smooth printing of 3D objects.

It has also 2 (two) labs equipped with 30 computers. It means that students need not to wait in a queue in one lab when they want to do their assignments. And thus it helps them obtain good grades. Being able to work in a quiet environment it allows students to concentrate on their work.

Computer Labs enable students to get training in computer applications. Therefore, once students became graduate, they can use the skills they learned for the betterment of their career. Additionally, computer labs allow equity to the students. Every individual can get access to his computer. Students can work on machines without sharing PCs.

Department of Pharmacy

Laboratory Facilities:

The laboratories of Pharmacy Department are full of all the required resources & modern equipments. BU has following individual modern laboratories.

1. Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab
2. Microbiology, Physiology and Pharmacology Lab
3. Pharmaceutical Analysis and QC Lab
4. Pharmaceutical Technology Research Lab
5. Advanced Tech. Lab

A skilled lab instructor is assigned for each lab. All practical classes are regularly conducted by the direct supervision of the respective course teachers with sufficient lab facilities.

Research Facilities:

Bangladesh University provides regularly separate fund for advanced research project of the Department of Pharmacy. B. Pharm. project students are given opportunity to do research work under the supervision of faculty members on various pharmaceutical areas like;

1. Nano technology based advanced drug delivery
2. Natural product chemistry
3. Phytochemistry
4. Pharmacology
5. Clinical pharmacology
6. Hospital pharmacy and National issues related research.

Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) has established various laboratories such as:

Electrical Circuits Laboratory

This laboratory is equipped with various types of resistors, variable rheostat, inductor, capacitor, dc and ac power supplies, switches, lamp boards, ammeters, voltmeters, variacs, oscilloscopes, etc.

Analog Electronics Laboratory

This laboratory is well equipped with various types of analog trainer boards, oscilloscopes, dc power sources, function generators, multimeter etc. Besides, in this laboratory there are wide ranges of resistors, capacitors, inductors, diode, transistor, MOSFET, analog ICs, etc.

Digital Electronics Laboratory

This laboratory is featured with state-of-the art laboratory equipment such as digital trainer board, logic probe, IC tester, digital meters, data switches, and wide ranges of digital ICs of TTL and CMOS series.

Power System Protection Laboratory

This laboratory is equipped with universal fault module, under/over frequency module, phase sequence module power supply.

Measurement & Instrumentation Laboratory

This laboratory is equipped with various types of test and measurement instruments like galvanometer, ammeter, voltmeter, wattmeter, energy meter, different types of transducer, etc.

Control System laboratory

This laboratory has been functioning using the PLC, analog and digital motor control, robot arm control, PID control, etc.

Digital Signal Processing Laboratory

Biomedical signal processing is an important part of an Electrical and Electronic Engineer. At present, students are doing experiments using 'Signal Processing Toolbox1 of MATLAB.

Communication Laboratory

This laboratory has been set up with start-of-the art module of communication. At the moment, students are doing experiments on AM, FM, PCM, QPSK, ASK, FSK, OMSK, BER calculation, TDM, TDMA, CDMA, etc. This laboratory also using 'Communication Toolbox1 of MATLAB to verify and develop different communication algorithm.

Energy Conversion Lab

This laboratory is equipped with 3-phase Squirrel Cage induction motor, 3-phase transformer, Tachometer, voltmeter, ammeter, external dc source etc.

Digital Lab

The dept. of EEE have installed the digital education system from the month of July, 2014 and conducting a few theoretical courses through this system and planning more courses in the upcoming semester. Experiments relating three phase transformer, three phase induction motor, generator and compute necessary parameters.
