“Environment Fair” organized by BAPA-BEN

The students of the Department of Architecture, Bangladesh University proudly represented their department and their university with their environment-friendly projects in the “Environment Fair” organized by BAPA-BEN on 13 & 14^th January 2023. The selected projects were-

1. Tale of Tangua- Regenerating Haor Settlement through Eco-tourism by Md. Tareq Rahman

( Batch 22^th )

2. Urban Agroscape- Riverfront Preservation and Agro-tourism, Buriganaga River at Keraniganj by Anowar Chowdhury ( Batch 22^th )

3. "Jol Parer Golpo" Place-making through regenerating waterbodies, Rajshahi by Md. Solaiman Shohan ( Batch 26^th )

4. Infill as Cultural Corridor- Kuril Bishwaroad Flyover, Dhaka by Mahbubur Rahman Turjo, Sharmina Akter & Meskat Ahmed. ( Batch 30^th )

Each of the projects represented different environmental threats of different contexts of Bangladesh and proposed scenarios that can help those areas better negotiate with the environment and its surrounding context in a sustainable manner.
