About the Department of Law, Bangladesh University

Bangladesh University started its journey in the year 2001. It was established by Late Quazi Azher Ali a philanthropist with a mission to provide higher education to all, particularly to the poor students facing financial constraints. The university opened the department of law in the year 2005 with a view to providing education to the students aspiring to become lawyer and leader of the society and the country at large. The university has been housed in a well built, beautiful and attractive building having all modern facilities. The department of law has been manned by highly educated, renowned and scholarly faculties to impart legal education to the students. The students find a very comfortable and homely atmosphere during the time they actually spend in the university campus. The faculties of the department are very cordial and very keen to impart education and to solve the problems faced by the students of the department of law. The library of the university is very rich and the students can easily enjoy facilities of the library without any hassle. Bangladesh University provides residential facilities to the students and as such students coming from remote corner of the country do not face any problem for residential accommodation. The department offers LL.B (Hons.), LL.B (Preliminary and Final), LL.M (1 year), LL.M (2 years) program. It is worth mentioning that the university authority has started constructing permanent campus with all modern facilities and within a short time it will shift to its permanent campus.
