Vision

Business Administration Department is the largest department of Bangladesh University that strives to catch the ‘Golden Deer’ of development for Bangladesh by supplying unique expertise in the field of business. It is more needed in the globalized market economy. From the very starting of its journey from 2001, it has been imparting practical, job oriented and IT based business education; particularly, in the specialized area of Accounting, Finance & Banking, Marketing and HRM of world standard level. The Vision of the Department is to develop a galaxy of young, energetic and job oriented stars for leading the business and economy of Bangladesh and the world both at normal and critical situation. Business Administration Department is trying to set a top standard quality education at minimal cost and which will be upgraded with the changing world business environment.

Mission

To materialize the vision of Bangladesh University and her Business Administration Department a logical and attainable mission has been established. The broad mission of the department is to impart practical, job oriented, research based and environment friendly business education knowledge not only by traditional teaching methodology but also through modern techniques based on IT. It is especially designed to offer knowledge needed for the 21st century among the learners, researchers, entrepreneurs and innovators. One of the important mottos of this Department is to develop distinct quality among the students so that they can prove their employability, competency and worthiness among the employers at home and abroad. Furthermore, the University has been offering its programs in such a way so that the vulnerable section of the society can change their fortune by themselves.

To achieve the mentioned vision and mission, the following courses are offered and taught in the Department at BBA and MBA levels.

It is to be mentioned that these courses and curriculum are reviewed and upgraded frequently as and when required.

A Message from the Head of the Department

Bangladesh University – a center of excellence for higher education, has been working for a long time to serve the nation in various needed academic fields with glorious achievement. Although the University at present working in the center of a peaceful and well communicated location; however, the varsity is going to be working in its newly constructed modern own campus very soon.

The Business Administration Department of BU has a galaxy of Faculty members having extra-ordinary educational background in home and abroad with outstanding teaching experience. The students may be assured of quality higher education in the area of Business to get ample opportunity for employment, professional development, entrepreneurship, research, innovation and others both in home and abroad including extraordinary competency to face the challenges of 21st century in the related field.
