About Dept. of EEE
The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Bangladesh University is one of the prestigious departments of Bangladesh University which started its journey from March 2006. It welcomes students passing from both HSC and Diploma in engineering and awards B.Sc degree in Electrical and Electronic engineering after successful completion of 147 credit hours.
The department of EEE is currently being served by 15 highly competent faculty members comprising of 1 Professor, 3 Assistant Professors, 5 Senior Lecturers and 6 Lecturers with degrees from reputed home and foreign universities of varied backgrounds, strong research skill and professional expertise. To support undergraduate teaching and their final year research projects, the department has established several laboratories equipped with modern facilities.
The department of EEE currently holds over 250 students enrolled in the B.Sc. program. The department emphasizes on need oriented and technology based education, aiming to equip students to adapt the challenging demands of modern electrical and electronic industries. These enable the students to take on a broad range of challenges that they may encounter in their future career. Over the years, Bangladesh University has been contributing considerably to the competitive engineering field of the job market of the country.

Laboratories of EEE
The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) has established various laboratories at 5th floor of 2nd campus at Asad Avenue, Mohammadpur. Labs are equipped with modern equipment necessary for laboratory classes and thesis/project works.
Electrical Circuit Lab
This laboratory is equipped with various types of resistors, variable rheostat, inductor, capacitor, dc and ac power supplies, switches, lamp boards, ammeters, voltmeters, variacs, oscilloscopes, etc.
Electronics Lab
This laboratory is well equipped with various types of analog trainer boards, oscilloscopes, dc power sources, function generators, multimeter etc. Besides, in this laboratory there are wide ranges of resistors, capacitors, inductors, diode, transistor, MOSFET, analog ICs, etc.
Digital Electronics Lab
This laboratory is featured with state-of-the art laboratory equipment such as digital trainer board, logic probe, IC tester, digital meters, data switches, and wide ranges of digital ICs of TTL and CMOS series.
Power System Protection Lab
This laboratory is equipped with universal fault module, under/over frequency module, phase sequence module power supply.
Measurement & Instrumentation Lab
This laboratory is equipped with various types of test and measurement instruments like galvanometer, ammeter, voltmeter, wattmeter, energy meter, different types of transducer, etc.
Control System lab
This laboratory has been functioning using the PLC, analog and digital motor control, robot arm control, PID control, etc.
Digital Signal Processing Lab
Biomedical signal processing is an important part of an Electrical and Electronic Engineer. At present, students are doing experiments using 'Signal Processing Toolbox1 of MATLAB.
Communication Lab
This laboratory has been set up with start-of-the art module of communication. At the moment, students are doing experiments on AM, FM, PCM, QPSK, ASK, FSK, OMSK, BER calculation, TDM, TDMA, CDMA, etc. This laboratory also using 'Communication Toolbox1 of MATLAB to verify and develop different communication algorithm.
Energy Conversion Lab
This laboratory is equipped with 3-phase Squirrel Cage induction motor, 3-phase transformer, Tachometer, voltmeter, ammeter, external dc source etc.
Digital Classroom
The dept. of EEE have installed the digital education system from the month of July, 2014 and conducting a few theoretical courses through this system and planning more courses in the upcoming semester. Experiments relating three phase transformer, three phase induction motor, generator and compute necessary parameters.
