On 13 December 2022, a farewell program of 48th batch by Department of English of Bangladesh University (BU) was held. The Registrar of BU, Brig. Gen. Md. Mahbubul Haque (Retd) graced the program as chief guest, while Prof. Dr. Tajul Islam, Head Department of Economics, Dean Arts Faculty, BU was present as the special guest, and the program was chaired by the Head of the Department of English, Sheikh Alauddin. Dewan Md. Al-amin, Head the Department of Law along with a number of faculty members from different departments were present.   The farewell program was followed by a colourful cultural program where the students and teachers of the department performed music, dance etc. A huge number of students enjoyed the program.
