The Department of English arranged a fabulous day long Food Festival 2022 at BU permanent campus auditorium on August 08, 2022. Vice-Chancellor (Acting) of BU, Prof. Dr. Mesbah Kamal graced the inaugural program of the food fest as chief guest while Associate Professor in the department of English of Jahangirnagar University, Dr. Manmoy Zafar was present as special guest. The program was chaired by Sheikh Alauddin, Head of the Department. Mr. Shamin Yeasir, Lecturer of the department moderated the program.
More than sixty varieties of delicious food both foreign and traditional were presented by the students in the festival. All items of food including appetizers and desserts were exclusively prepared by the concerned students of the department.
The food festival is one of the major parts of our cultural heritage people of this soil celebrated that from time immemorial, the speakers mentioned. The festival creates much enthusiasm among students and plays a significant role to increase inter-batch connection.
