A group of cricketers from the national cricket team got admitted into Bangladesh University (BU), which is one of the leading private universities in the country. National team all-rounder Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Nahid Rana, Minhajul Islam, and Abdul Ghaffar, all got admitted into the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program of the University.

Cricketers completed all their admission formalities on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the permanent campus of BU located at the prime location of Mohammadpur, Dhaka. At that time, acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Jahangir Alam, acting Registrar Shohel Ahsan Nipu, Head, of the Department of CSE Mr. Sadiq Iqbal, Senior Assistant Registrar, Moshiur Rahman along with other officials were present.

National team all-rounder Nazmul Hossain Shanto expresses his excitement saying that he is happy to get admitted into the BBA department of the University with such a beautiful campus and a huge playground.

Cricketer Nahid Rana went on to express his feelings saying that BU deserves thanks for providing the players of this country with the opportunity to study here in addition to playing cricket. Cricketer Minhajul Islam expresses his feelings by saying that he is impressed with the sincerity of the teachers and officials. Another cricketer, Abdul Ghaffar thanks the BU authority for giving him the admission opportunity and says, he is proud of being one of the students of this reputed university.

Mr. Sadiq Iqbal, Coach of the BU Cricket Team and Head of the CSE Department said that from the beginning, his target was to have the players of the national cricket team enrolled here, so that, the promising players might take their higher degree from BU. We are successful in this concern.
