As a contribution to the university community, the students of the First Year, Second Semester of Department of Architecture, designed and built a series of modules for a newly constructed eating space on campus.
The project explored the design process through the lens of everyday eating activities and aimed to develop an understanding of how architecture responds to human behavior and spatial needs. Drawing from the exercises of Studio 1.2, students incorporated preliminary studies of ergonomics to inform their design decisions.
Each group developed a unique concept related to the act of eating and translated it into architectural form through explorations of lines, planes, volumes, and geometric compositions. The project encouraged students to transform abstract ideas into functional spatial interventions, bridging the gap between conceptual thinking and real-world application.
The resulting modules demonstrate how fundamental design principles can shape meaningful and engaging spaces for everyday use.
