Spring 2026

The Department of Architecture, Bangladesh University (arch.BU) is pleased to announce the launch of the “arch.BU Performance Award” on 5 September 2026.

As part of this initiative, the Department proudly announced the first recipient of Category 01: Design Excellence Award (DEA) OF Spring 2026 at the Departmental premises.

The ceremony was addressed by the Head of the Department, Ar. Sheikh Itmam Soud. The award plaque was formally handed over by the Dean, FSET, Ar. Dr. Nurur Rahman Khan, and the Departmental Advisor, Ar. Iqbal Habib, in the presence of faculty members and students.

Mr. Md. Emanul Haque (ID: 201912029033) has been awarded the DEA for his Design Studio IX project, “The Faculty of Fine Arts, Jagannath University”, located on Chittaranjan Avenue in Old Dhaka.

In recognition of his achievement, Emanul has also been awarded a travel grant to attend ARCASIA 2026 and visit Delhi, Jaipur and Agra in September 2026. During his journey, he will study several renowned housing projects as part of his Thesis Case Studies, further enriching his architectural knowledge through direct observation and experience.

We congratulate Emanul Haque on this well-deserved achievement and wish him a successful journey, enriching experiences, and a bright future ahead.
